It's not quite Spring at Calloway Hill! But there are early signs of it everywhere you look!
March 5, 2026
Greetings to all of the Calloway Family!
As many of you know, Calloway Hill has become a "second home" for Wilson and me over the past several years. Even though we made a permanent move to Colorado in 2018, we knew that we would be back in North Carolina often and Calloway Hill would be where we would always stay. We have clothes in the closets and our toothbrushes are in the dresser drawer! Our 5th-wheel camper remains parked in the back pasture when we aren't on the road to Florida in January and February. And we usually have a vehicle parked under the shed. We have found it to be a true blessing to have this place to wait out winter and the snow and mud seasons in Colorado, and in so doing ,we witness signs of Spring all around us. Grandmaw Calloway's daffodils are everywhere now - along the rock walls, the driveway, the edge of the woods, on the hillsides. The bright yellow trumpets are the first signs of knowing that warm days will eventually come and all the other flowers that she planted will soon be coming up. The trees will be greening out and blooming, and the fish will be jumping in the lake! We love sharing this special place with all of the Calloway family. So whether we are in town or not, all of the Propst families hope that their Calloway cousins will consider spending some time here during the upcoming spring as well as during the summer months. And before you know it, the annual Calloway Family Reunion will be upon us! Mark your calendars for September 26, 2026!
I've updated the Family Albums and Christmas Cards sections of the website. I'm sorry it took me so long to get new photos added. I haven't posted anything since the 2025 Reunion Album, so if you have more photos to share, please send them to me and I'll get them on the site as soon as I can! I think all the addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses are current, but if your name is missing from the lists or what I have is not accurate, please let me know so that I can get it corrected.
It is a privilege for me to gather up photos and news to share with this family!
Blessings to each of you! ECP
